At Consumer Debt Counseling
Services, we recognize and respect the importance of maintaining
the privacy of our customers and members and have established this
Privacy Policy as a result. Below we describe why we gather
customer and member information, what information we collect, how
we collect it, what we use the information for and how you can
instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information.
In
General
For each visitor to our Web page,
our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain
name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). We collect
aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit. The
information we collect is used for internal review and is then
discarded and used to improve the content of our Web page. We do
not share, rent or sell our subscriber lists to any other
organization for any reason. If you wish to review, edit, or want
us to permanently delete your information e-mail us at
privacy@Consumer-Debt-Counseling.com
What
information are you collecting and how are you collecting it?
Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name
and a set of numbers, that serve as that computer's "Internet
Protocol" IP address. When a visitor requests a page from any Web
site within the internet network, our Web servers automatically
recognize that visitor's domain name and IP address. The domain
name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than
the IP address from which you have accessed our site. We use this
information to examine our traffic in aggregate, but do not
collect and evaluate this information for individuals.
Our Web servers do not
record e-mail addresses of the visitors.
"Cookies"
There is a technology called "cookies" which can be used to
provide you with tailored information from a website. A cookie is
an element of data that a website can send to your browser, which
may then store it on your system. Some of our Debt Consolidation
pages may use cookies so that we may better serve you when you
return to our site. You can set your browser to notify you when
you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to
accept it.
What
other information do you request?
We may also request your e-mail address or mailing address for the
purposes of conducting a survey or to provide additional services
(for example, subscriptions to e-mail newsletters, announcement
lists or information about seminars). Whenever we request the
identity of a visitor, we will clearly indicate the purpose of the
inquiry before the information is requested.
We maintain a strict "No-Spam"
policy, that means that we do not intend to sell, rent, or
otherwise give your e-mail address to a third-party, without your
consent. In addition, we will not send you email that you have not
agreed to receive. We may from time to time send e-mail announcing
new products and services. When you enter a contest or other
promotion, we may ask for your name, address, and e-mail address
so we can administer the contest and notify winners.
What
information do you collect when I fill out a free quote form?
If you are applying for a free quote, we need to know your name,
e-mail address, mailing address, and possibly your individual
creditor information. This allows us to evaluate your current
financial situation and present you with the best possible
solution. This information will not be shared or sold to third
parties for any purpose. If you wish to review, edit, or want us
to permanently delete your information e-mail us at
privacy@Consumer-Debt-Counseling.com
Our site uses a security feature that safeguards this information
by using industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypted
servers. SSL codes the information transferred between you and the
server, rendering it unreadable to anyone trying to intercept the
information. Wherever we collect personal information we make an
effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.
